Instead, I will list the three most popular cosmetic surgery procedures in the U.S., explain how they work, and give you an idea of what they cost. So here they are in no particular order.

Rhinoplasty
The Process – A quick lesson in word origin. "Rhino" comes from the Greek word for nose. "Plasty" refers to the act of molding or shaping something. Combine them and you have a process that reshapes the nose, commonly referred to as the nose job. To perform this procedure, the surgeon will make a small incision below the nose and extending into the nostrils. Through this, the surgeon can access (and reshape) certain areas of cartilage within the nose.
The Popularity – The nose job is a very popular form of cosmetic surgery in the U.S. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), there were nearly 285,000 performed in 2007.
The Cost – As with most plastic surgery procedures, the cost of a breast augmentation will vary based on several factors. The geographical location, the level of consumer demand, and the surgeon’s experience all play a role. Based on my research, the average cost of rhinoplasty was around $6,000, but could run as high as $12,000 in places with higher demand (think Beverly Hills and Los Angeles).
Breast Augmentation
The Process – Commonly referred to as the "boob job," breast augmentation is a straightforward procedure that uses synthetic implants to increase a woman’s breast size. The two types of implants currently being used in the U.S. are saline and silicon. Saline implants are regarded as the safer option of the two, while silicon implants are said to feel more natural.
The Popularity – According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), there were roughly 212,000 breast augmentation procedures in 2000. Seven years later, in 2007, there were more than 347,000 of these surgeries performed. This is one of the fastest growing of all cosmetic surgeries.
The Cost – Here again, the cost of this procedure will vary based on different factors. After doing some price sampling from a dozen or so websites, I found that the cost ranges from $4,000 to $10,000. That includes all fees associated with the procedure, such as the cost of the implants, anesthesia, surgeon’s fee, etc.
Liposuction
The Process – Liposuction is a process through which a surgeon uses a suction device to remove unwanted fat. It can be performed in several areas of the body, most commonly in the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks. After making an incision in the area to be targeted, the surgeon uses a stainless steel tube known as a cannula to break up fat cells and suck out the fatty tissue.
The Popularity – The numbers have dropped a bit from 2000 to 2007, but it’s still a common type of cosmetic surgery. In 2007, more than 301,000 liposuction surgeries were performed in the United States.
The Cost – There are different forms of liposuction, and it can be performed on different parts of the body. Add to that the differences in consumer demand, surgeon availability and other factors, and you have a wide-ranging cost scale. Lipo on the abdominal area, for example, can range from $4,000 upward to $8,000.
Conclusion and Cautionary Statement
This article is not meant to trivialize plastic surgery, but only to chronicle its rising popularity within the United States. All surgeries have risks associated with them, and the items on this list are no different. Always do plenty of research and ask plenty of questions before making a decision about cosmetic or any other form of surgery.

Well, since exercise helps to tone your muscles, you could do so for your pectoral muscles too. Exercises that help to tone the chest muscles are exercises like push-up and bench press (which you can do with a dumbbell). Firmer and bigger boobs are always good
Besides that, food also play a part in developing your boobs. But I’ve heard that consuming soy actually helps, cos it contains estrogen. So, if you like tofu and soy milk, good for you 
But of course, the level of estrogen found in these foods is not the same as that our bodies produce. Hence, most effective way to get bigger boobs (w/o surgery) is to exercise the right muscles.

All i know is that if a silicone breast implant ruptures the silicone isnt safe for your body or something like that… opposed to saline which is a fluid that is safe and flows right through your body, very harmless

Your relatives are OBVIOUSLY jealous of your daughter. This has been her dream for the past five years. If you have the means and the opportunity to allow her to see her dream through, then you would be negligent parents if you were to continue denying her this great advance in her life. Think of how cool and popular she will be in school, not to mention all the attention she will receive. Your husband is completely correct. And who better to take her out on a date than one of your husbands best friends? Not only will she be comfortable with him, but you know she will be safe. So in answer to your question, why shouldn’t you allow her to get breast implants… THEIR IS NO REASON AT ALL!!!

She will still love you the same. You may even feel it more cause she will have more self confidence. I had mine done just over a year ago and they are great. My fiance did not want me to get them. We are still together and he just loves me the same. Make sure that you don’t make a big deal out of it and push her away. (being jealous and not trusting will destroy a relationship) Good luck

well if you get down to 125 or 130 then a DD would look really silly…and make you look chubby again…so if you are loosing weight..then loose the weight first..and just get a D. Implant…my mom is 5′7 and 120 lbs..she got a DD and she looked really really funny..so she had to go get them reduced to a D..so yeah i would just go with a normal D..AFTER loosing weight.

PlasticSurgery.com has a user forum where women can talk about a variety of procedures, including breast implants/augmentation. Some sites like this have user forums but a fair amount don’t. I just searched "plastic surgery" and "plastic surgery forum" on goog…oops, I mean yahoo!

I’m getting some this year and I suggest you go to a site called justbreastimplantsdotcom. There’s a forum there where women talk about all the experiences they’ve had with their BA’s~good and bad. Yahoo answers isn’t the place to get good information!

I went from a natural 34D to a 34B following breastfeeding, then to a 34DD with breast implants. I haven’t regretted it yet! Of course, I don’t feel they’re "flawless" and there have been some trade offs, but I am infinitely more pleased with them than I was with the condition of my pre-op breasts.

Ummm… I can see how that would be irritating. I was considering the same surgery and a friend of mine took it upon herself to tell everyone that I was planning on doing it and, yeah, it totally ticked me off. It’s no one elses business. Whether they notice you have a bigger chest or not, people don’t usually walk up and go "Are those real?" So having your friend run around, telling everyone about something that’s personal isn’t cool at all. Ask her how she’d feel if you told everyone she had a nose job a couple years ago. Even if she hasn’t had a nose job, the fact that you would tell someone that should make her realize that she’s totally spilling your biz when she has no right to.

Depends on credit if you are putting money down. A lot of places will finance the entire thing. You can look on the internet for Cosmetic Surgery Financing and see what you can find. There are a lot of loans out there for all kinds of people. Be sure you are referred to a doctor. Don’t go just b/c it is cheap. You get what you paid for. Good doctors don’t need to advertise, because they know word of mouth will keep them in business! But usually, you are going to spend $5000 or more. Depending on your area.

i cant understand why woman want larger breast. i have 44dd’s and i hate it. you cant buy the cute lil summer shirts and besides small perky breast are more attractive and im not a lesbian. be happy with what GOD gave you .
